Who is this for?

Psychotherapists, trauma therapists, counsellors, social workers, mental health practitioners, alternative health practitioners, wellbeing practitioners, coaches and anyone wanting to integrate somatic and trauma-informed approaches into their client work and business models.

What is Somatic mentorship?

The main focus of this work will be your body as the foundation for practice and co-regulation. There will be an opportunity to learn different somatic embodiment and regulation strategies We will be learning polyvagal theory basics, mapping your own nervous system states, building your resource library for using with clients, learning about co-regulation and recognising the subtle and not-so subtle cues of dysregulation in clients and how to be alongside this.

We will also be tracking the nervous system around visibility, offering or charging. There will be lots of opportunities to bring questions and put theory into practice. This will be a predominantly experiential course. Since each person’s body and nervous system are different and will have different needs, we will follow the needs of the group and will cover each theme as required.

Standard price £300 (Early bird pricing £270) Each session to be paid in full whether you attend or not. I am also happy to discuss a payment plan. I am setting a minimum number of 4 participants for this course to go ahead. If we don’t reach that amount, I will refund you in full. There is an upper limit of 5 participants to fill the venue at my clinic space in the St Denys area of Southampton. If I get lots of interest I will hire a bigger venue in my area to accommodate this. The maximum number of participants would be 10.
